The D'Utama TMC promotes the 3 R's

You may have seen this picture before somewhere.

You may think it's fake.

But this is a real picture of an albatross chick that died from ingesting plastic on Midway Island, photographed by Chris Jordan, who made a film called Midway - Message from the Gyre.

If it doesn't break your heart, I hope you can at least understand that we're well on our way to destroying our children and their children and so on if nothing is done today.

In our efforts to promote a sustainable environment, the D'Utama Toastmasters Club attempts to reduce the use of disposable plastics for the sake of our beautiful planet and all that live in it.

We implore our guests and members to please help make a little dent in this universe by bringing along your utensils (forks and spoons in particular) and drinking tumblers.

A consideration of ours is to present new members with their very own utensils as part of our membership drive.

We thank you for your understanding and support of Mother Nature.

May you always have fresh air, clean water, green trees and creatures to marvel at.

Peace.
